Top 3 San Diego Mommy & Baby Date Spots

Are you a mama in the San Diego area (or visiting SD) and looking to get OUT of the house with your baby for some fresh air and cute photos?

Look no further. I have compiled my go-to favorite “mommy & baby date day spots” for you! The sweet, and silly, memories you will capture - will last a lifetime.

First up, Downtown La Mesa. The “hidden jewel” of San Diego. This quaint little downtown, just 15 minutes outside of downtown San Diego, is a beautiful spot for strolls, coffee, restaurants, and antique shopping! Don’t miss out on their weekly farmer’s markets off La Mesa Blvd. (btwn. 4th - Palm Ave) every Friday from 3-7 PM. From fresh flowers, fruits, veggies, and a churro truck with craft ice cream, coffee roasters, plants, live music, and more. Check them out on @officiallamesafarmersmarket

Next, the tried and true San Diego Zoo never gets old. But our recent favorite has been the San Diego Safari Park! Grab lunch at The Watering Hole and overlook giraffes, rhinos, zebras, and more roaming while you enjoy a meal. Pro Tip: Make a reservation on Open Table here.

Third, but certainly not least is Balboa Park. You could spend DAYS exploring here. While the architecture alone is beautiful enough, you can peruse the San Diego Air & Space Museum, San Diego History Center, Natural History Museum, the Museum of Us, Fleet Science Center, and so much more! Feeling snacky? Grab some quick appetizers at The Prado. Hint: Their french fries and Italian sodas are delicious and don’t break the bank!
